The Society of Women Writers VIC

The Society of Editors (Victoria) Inc.

is an organisation for people who are engaged professionally in editing for publication. It has more than 430 members, including in-house and freelance editors. The Society's aims are to: * promote the exchange of ideas and the dissemination of information on matters of professional interest * encourage contacts among members * assist in establishing and maintaining high standards of editing * liaise with other organisations in all matters affecting editors as a group. We hold monthly dinner meetings with a visiting guest speaker invited to talk about a matter of professional or general interest to book editors.
